Yellowtail continue to make up much of the day and a half catch, with rockfish and sand bass common for half-day trips, as can be seen by Fisherman's landing reports from July 9: 65 anglers on four boats taking 10 rockfish, 55 sand bass, 270 yellowtail, two dorado and five bluefin tuna.

Point Loma had six boats with 115 anglers: "386 Yellowtail, 13 Bluefin, 325 Sand Bass, 31 Barracuda, 10 Rockfish, 14 Calico Bass, 1 Dorado."

H&M Landing had three day and a half boats with 56 anglers: "280 Yellowtail, 9 Bluefin, 2 Dorado."

Seaforth reported 155 anglers on six boats: "626 Sand Bass, 1 Sculpin, 10 Rockfish, 31 Calico Bass, 1 Vermilion Rockfish, 32 Yellowtail, 1 Bluefin Tuna, 1 Dorado, 43 Barracuda, 20 Calico Bass Released."
