As I stated in my podcast tonight on www.BigFishHappen.com it is a pleasant surprise at the amount of dorado we are seeing this early in the year. In this same area we are catching yellowtail and some smaller yellowfin tuna. As the albacore are moving out this new wave of fish should keep everyone(1 day and 1-1/2 day boats) with smiles on their faces. The weather treated us well and now we are heading further south.

The boys worked hard today for a quick turn around at the dock in preperation of the Nor-cal tuna chasers six day trip. After loading some good looking sardines, we headed south in calm seas and bright skies. Although, the albacore have been almost MIA in the counts as of late, the LR fleet is working on areas of kelp paddy yellowtail, yellowfin and good size dorado.
