"Did you hear about the halibut they got on my boat?" asked Bill Poole August 3. "They got one that weighed 60 pounds on the boat."

If the big halibut does weigh 60 pounds on the certified scales at Fisherman's Landing tomorrow, it will exceed the current world record by Roger Borrrell got June 26, 1999 at Santa Rosa Island, which weighed 58 pounds, nine ounces. Watch this space for the news.
