Catfish still biting well in the backs of coves and cuts throughout the lake. The top offerings have been cut mackerel, and Berkeley doughbaits. In the early morning smallmouth and largemouth bass have been seen busting shad on the surface on the surface on main lake points in the west end of the lake. Most fish have been on the smallside, with occasional legal fish mixed in. Carp are in the backs of shallow coves in the mid day hours. A few crappie and blue gill coming in from under the docks to the right of the marina. All other species were no shows.

Trout fishing has been fair to good for those flat lining Kastmasters, Rapalas, and needlefish. Sunday a 7 lb. fish was the winner of the annual trout derby, which fell for a C.D 5 Rapala in black and silver.r. Shore anglers connected on E point as well as both sides of the buoy line in the marina. Powerbait, 'crawlers, and a variety of spinners and spoons got the job done. Trout fishing is good as it gets, with limit style action all over the lake. Trollers flat lining C.D Rapalas, Kastmasters, and needlefish have been limiting, and from the shore it's been crawlers and powerbait. The bass bite finally starting to turn on for both largies and smallies and they have been taking just about any type of type of bait thrown at them.
