Catfish still providing most of the action here. Cut mackerel or packaged doughbaits fished in the backs of coves and cuts all over the lakes was once again the way to go. Bass fishing has been fair using nightcrawlers or reaction baits on main lake points. A handful of panfish came in from the docks to the right of the marina, and any lace there is shade on the water. Bowfishing for carp has been improving, as many large fish being spotted along the bank between Clark canyon, and Johnsons Bay in the late afternoon hours. All other species were absent from the count.

Spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and ripbaits were the top lure choices. A few crappie coming off the docks to the right of the marina,......

The kitties have been in 1' to 10' of water, and have been biting throughout the day. There's been shad all over the lake, which has the smallmouth population on a tear as of late. Traps, spinnerbaits, rip baits, basically any shad imitation gets bit when an active school is located. Largemouth not as willing, although......
