Report Date:
http://wildlife.utah.govOn Dec. 29, the lake was mostly capped with two to four inches of slushy, unstable ice. There's a small amount of open water immediately around the inlet. One angler had his ice tent set up on the east fishing pier. The ice was two inches thick with an inch of slush on top. You'll see lots of fish on the fish finder near the pier about six to eight feet down. The angler caught two trout using a white tube jig with a bright orange tail. Ice thickness varies, so we recommend keeping off for now. If temperatures continue to stay below freezing, the ice will be safe soon.
