http://www.kenssport.comBack from the Antelope hunt??in Lassen, it was successful, shot a speed goat that was probably in the low 70's, very fun stuff.??
Anyway,??it sounds like the fishing is much the same??in these parts since I was gone. The??night time temps are getting nice and cool, in the high 20's and low 30's most nights, but the day time temps are still a little high. The??Virginias are hanging in there with some good float tubing with streamers or nymphs, as well as bait and spinners. The Twins are a little tough, but there are fish being caught. I talked to one angler who??saw another??with a stringer of nice browns he caught on lead core and Rapalas. The fish were up to about 5lbs.??
The West Walker is??still very low, but it's still being planted and is fishing ok in the deeper pockets throughout the 395 canyon section. The East is still a little warm on the California side, but the Nevada side is doing fine. Small nymphs like birds nests, princes and pt's are good as well as hopper/dropper rigs. I'm expecting the Cali side to liven up any time now as the weather cools.
We've had some??good reports from Kirman with nymphs and buggers, some nice brookies showing up there, haven't heard from??Heenan yet, if anyone's been up there let us know!
Don't forget the??Fish Enhancement Program Fly Fishing Tournament on October 7, 2007, again, it's great fun, and it's for a great cause. I've already received some great donation from Outcast,??Smith/Action Optics, Hendrix Outdoors, and am expecting much, much more to come!!??
