Surface temps dip into the low 40,s  overnight and are pushing 50 to 51 degrees by mid day.

Best shoreline fishing is from the Causeway just outside of Chester.

Best trolling, Hands down the east shore where the bite has really picked up for kings in the 3 pound class and several browns up to 4.8 pounds. 

Conditions are improving rapidly, water warming, moon phase waning, and insect events have Almanor “set up” for some classic fishing, and we’re still in March. USFS ramp open, no dock.

Private ramps, Rec. 1 and 2 ramps are open with docks.

Almanor West ramp open, dock was installed last Thursday.
