http://norcal.fishreports.comWe did receive another load of 800 pounds of DFW trout this past Thursday and are on schedule to continue to receive these same numbers every week. Anglers have seen great results early in the morning and late in the day as the weather is cooler and the trout are up and feeding in those cooler, shadows on the lake. During the heat of the day the trout are going to be deep in the water so your best beat is to use some various Power Baits; Salmon Egg Red, Garlic, Rainbow Glitter and Chartreuse, take it to the bottom and use a 24-30″ leader line to bring the Power Bait off the bottom to about the top of the weed line. The water temperature is hovering around 65-68 degrees so the deeper the better. Thomas Buoyant, as always, have been a steady beat in the lure department, as have Kastmasters in a Rainbow pattern, or Tasmanian Devils in any red or pink color. Trolling with a streamer fly late in the day like a Olive Matuka, Green Wooly Bugger or Rainbow Hornberg will work as well. This time of season, get up early and fish hard, take a nap mid day then go back out in the late afternoon and hit it hard again. Silver Lake (760) 648-7525
