http://norcal.fishreports.comTrout bite has been slow this week with the high temperature. We are continuing to plant trout through the summer. Troll by the dam and around Sandy point with broken-back fire-tiger Rapalas or Kastmasters. Rainbow or Garlic Power-Bait is top trout bait. If the bite slows try using inflated night crawlers to catch trout, catfish or bass. It’s been a tough bass bite but there are still some being found. Shallow shaded areas like Scow Canyon and Pink Lady coves would be good spots to try. The boat launch is also a good spot around big point.
We planted 800 pounds of Catfish on July 16rd. Catfish have been biting well. A lot of big fish are being brought in from the Main Rec shoreline. Best baits are nightcrawlers or chicken livers. Crappie and Blue gill are being caught at the boat launch and in the coves.
