Boats have been producing trout consistently, with some fisherman bringing them in from docks or the available shoreline. Power Bait and worms are the most reliable baits. Kastmasters and spinners are also effective if you can find the fish. The south end of the lake generally produces more trout but good lure fishing can be found around the dam or deeper areas. Bluegill and crappie have slowed down due to low visibility in shallow water and temperature, but the fish are more abundant than they have been in the past. The bass bite is inconsistent; however warmer afternoons have produced the occasional bite with drop-shot plastics around the shoreline, some crankbaits have been getting bites. Catfish are still biting on the usual chicken livers, mackerel, or worms with a couple of 10-pound plus fish coming in. (925) 284-9669
