Santa Margarita bass, redear waiting for anglers

Redear bite has started. The courtesy dock is a good spot. Bass bite is good for those giving it a try. Bass in the 3 to 4 pound range are taking crank baits near the dam and in shallow shores. Surface temps have reached 60 degrees. A five pound bass was caught from shore by Rick Winzenried of Los Osos who was pulling a Mepp's steelhead spinner. (805) 438-1522
