The shad have come in, and anglers are using the small silver fish to entice bites from striped bass. Anglers have been catching stripers in the Vegas Wash area, near the tires at Lake Mead Marina, and near the fishing pier at Hemenway. The fish also have been taking baits near the Hemenway fishing point. Some fishermen are reeling in stripers with jigs and top-water baits. Catfish are also hitting throughout the lake.
