Truckee River Fish Report 11-05-07

The Truckee continues to be a good bet for some excellent fishing. Dead drifted nymphs and streamer fishing have been the two most productive methods. There are some hatches of Blue Winged Olive mayflies happening in the afternoons, but the dry fly fishing has been sporadic. The most successfull anglers are those that are moving around a lot and trying different water. If you keep moving you will eventually find some fish; if you park on the same hole all day don't expect much! The best flies have been Two Tone Hunchback nymphs 18-20, Zebra Copper Johns 16-20, Gold Bead Flashback Pheasant Tails 14-16, Flu Shots in Yellow/Brown and Orange/Black, Stanley Streamers 6, Hatchmaster Bwo's 18-20, and Brown and Black Krystal Buggers 6
