Eureka rock cod great, salmon elusive

The salmon bite off the Eel River has slowed. There are fish a few miles south of the harbor but there aren’t concentrations of kings. Up-and-down weather hasn’t helped. Rock cod bite is excellent when boats can get to the cape. (707) 826-7201
