Trout are being caught near the reeds and across the lake from the Marina. Best bet is anchoring with bait. Trollers have to get down 40 feet. June Lake Marina (760) 648-7726; Mixed results here. Some do well, others get skunked. Best way to score is to anchor with garlic or salmon peach Power Bait or nightcrawlers. Gull Lake Marina (760) 648-7539; Trout bite has slowed although it was very good early in the lake. Top tactics include Mice tails, nightcrawler or Power Bait (salmon peach or garlic).
