Report Date:
http://norcal.fishreports.comALMANOR: Surface temps at 76 degrees by mid-day. The hex hatch is still going off, and should be for another 10 days. Trout are thick in Hamilton Branch. Slow action rigs seem to be out performing fast action lures this past week. With the warm surface temps fish will be deep, even early in the morning. The best bite has been early, show up at 9:30 and it’s going to be tougher. We have lines in the water by 5:15, and our first fish this morning came at 5:20. Fish have been going from 2.3 to 3.8 pounds. However, we have had many over 4 pounds and two over 5 pounds. Best fish off my boat this past week was a 8.6 pound brown. The best trolling lanes right now are. Rec. 1 to Big Cove; Hamilton Branch and head south about 1 mile and back, 100 to 500 yards off the shoreline; Dorado to Lake Cove and back; Big Springs to Big Cove; Canyon Dam and the east shore; Rec. 2, past Bunell Point toward the Fox Farm and back. All these trolling lanes can produce this time of year. Doug Neal: (530) 258-6732 http://www.almanorfishingadventures.com
