Shad, stripers biting near Chico

Striper bite is quite good. Water is a bit off color but it should clear soon and make sight fishing possible. Early morning bite is very good. Stripers are found from Los Molinos to Ord Bend. Male shad in the 1 to 2 pound range are present and eating small mayflies (tricos) from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. from Red Bluff downstream to Ord Bend.
