The Little Truckee is still worth a shot but the fishing is very difficult. The fish are eating very small midge pupa and emergers most of them a size twenty or smaller. You will have to use very light 7X tippets and exercise extreme caution when approaching the stream. You'll want to be on the water in the midday hours when the fish are most active.
