Trout season opened in rivers and streams May 22. Angling is restricted to artificial flies and lures in streams and rivers above tidewater. Tenmile Lakes is open all year for trout. Anglers have been catching rainbow trout trolling wedding ring spinners. Use of bait is allowed in lakes year round.

Largemouth bass fishing has been good over the past month. Anglers are catching bass near structure or on the deep end of the weed lines using spinner baits, jigs, or rubber worms. Top water lures have been effective in the early mornings or evenings.
