Lost Creek Reservoir Fishing Report

OR Department of Fish & Wildlife Staff

Report Date:

http://www.dfw.state.or.us

Lost Creek Reservoir has been stocked with legal-sized and trophy-sized rainbow trout. Fishing has been good. The salmon fly hatch is bigger this year than in recent years. Some anglers are putting dead salmon flies on a hook and catching fish. Unfortunately the recent heat wave has sent the reservoir surface temperature to 76F. Unless temperatures cool dramatically anglers targeting trout and spring chinook may want to think deep or fish upstream of the Hwy 62 Bridge. Fishing for largemouth bass and smallmouth bass should be good. The lake is 92 percent full.
