Hyatt Lake has been stocked with legal-sized and trophy-sized rainbow trout, and fishing for these stocked trout has been very good. Anglers casting lures such as Kastmasters, Little Cleos, and roostertails from boats and the docks in/around the boat ramps did well on Free Fishing Weekend. Trollers and anglers fishing powerbait also caught fish. Fishing for largemouth bass has been slow, but should improve with the warm weather forecast for this week. The reservoir is 72 percent full, and the BLM campgrounds and boat ramps are now open.
