Sacramento River stripers

Anglers chasing striped bass got mixed results this week, reported local guide Kevin Brock. On Monday and Tuesday we had easy limits of stripers", said Brock. "But Wednesday slowed down a little, and Thursday was very slow due to warming water temperatures."

Brock added, "Most of the stripers are running from four to six pounds, with a few over 10 pounds. We are caching all of our fish power-drifting with jumbo minnows between Tisdale and Grimes. There has been a lot of boat and angler traffic in this section of the river, but people are catching fish."
