The Fall River has been fishing well. Nymphing remains the most consistent method in terms of numbers. A small euro style nymph with the big tungsten head matched with a small dropper mayfly/caddis is a good tactic. Stripping and swinging streamers around some of the downed timber can also produce some nice fish. Dry-dropper setups are fun on the Fall too. We have an all black micro-chubby pattern in both shops that works great as a carpenter ant imitation. If you want to fish dries, keep an eye out for caddis activity and PMD’s in the earlier and later hours of the day. The river seems to have lots of fish in it right now so spread out and explore some spots you haven’t before!
