Recent sampling showed some nice healthy rainbow trout are still out there in Yellowjacket Reservoir. There was about 6 inches of ice on the Yellowjacket as of Dec. 31 The road to Yellowjacket Reservoir is not maintained throughout the winter, access to Yellowjacket will be difficult now that there is over a foot of snow on the ground. Ice conditions may be unsafe due to the unseasonably warm weather we've had for the past week.
