Selmac was stocked a while ago with 5,000 legal-size rainbow trout but with the warmer weather trout fishing is likely slowing down. Largemouth bass, bluegill and black crappie fishing are also available and these fish are more active with the warm weather.‌

Lake Selmac has its share of non-native aquatic hitchhikers. Boat anglers are asked to do their part to remove as much vegetation as possible before leaving the ramp, as well as drain and dry their vessel before boating in another waterbody.‌
