Winter steelhead are crossing Winchester Dam in good numbers now. The sections below the dam are getting heavy pressure from anglers. To have good success and to get away from the crowds, try angling the sections above the dam. This is mostly a catch-and-release fishery with very few hatchery winter steelhead. Only hatchery steelhead maybe harvested.
