According to Captain Temo Verboonen, the fishing/catching has
apparently come to a near screeching halt over the past week. He
reported that the International Sailfish Tournament fished 220 boat
days for three days and produced only 20 fish for their efforts and
his comment for that was, "no fish out there". He reported the water
was greenish and the days were rough and windy, adding to the
difficult fishing. He had no inshore report for this week as no
boats were out to challenge the inshore fishery.
IZ Climate: Sunny & near picture perfect days with temps that ranged
from 69 nights to 90 daytime highs.
Sea Conditions: Rough, windy weather and greenish water during the
early week and now starting to see some plus-sided changes to bluer
water. Water still very green to about 15 miles. Temps from 78
inshore and rising to 80 degrees at the 1000 fathom curve.
Best Bait/Lure: Not reported.
Bait Supply: Remains plentiful for the anglers.
