Lots of big trout are being caught. Among the best catches last week were:   Dylan Snyder from Discovery Bay, who caught a 7.2 trout with a fly rod; Harold Brown caught an 8 pound trout and two 4-pound catfish with a Kastmaster in the South Cove.   Water temperatures were 51.2 degrees Fahrenheit at 30 feet and 64.2 degrees at 4 feet.  With the raising temperatures we could see trout plants ending earlier and the start of catfish plants.  Since Mt Lassen plants have been decreased to 700 pounds per plant, we will be planting lightning trout to create a little balance to the loss.
