Some good fishing this week at the Lafayette Reservoir.  Nicky Mann of Antioch caught an 8.5 pound bass with a jerk bait at the south end.  Jacob Carsten nearly broke our Bluegill record catch with a 12.8 ouncer taken from the water at the large dock using a worm as bait.  The water was a tad warmer this week at 58.6 degrees Fahrenheit at 30 feet and 74.6 degrees at 6 feet, but it still shows a general cooling trend.  We had a catfish plant of 1,000 pounds last week and we’ll be skipping this week.
