Fly Fishing - More fall like weather over this past weekend provided for pretty good fishing with multiple areas you can hit. The fish are really starting to move up to the North Arm. More and more browns are showing up every day! Fish Leighton Springs in 11 to 13 feet, Six Bays out in 14 or 15 feet and outside the rock piles just north of Leighton. Do not overlook Sandy Point as the fish go right by as they leave McGee and head up to the Owens River. Big Hilton is the hot spot for BIG browns. Fish in about 12 to 13 feet along Pelican Point. Best flies this week are pretty much the same, Albino Barons and Copper Tigers early with Shaft Emergers and Super Fly Emergers after 9:00 a.m.

Trolling - McGee and Chalk Bluffs has kicked out several BIG fish lately. Alligator Point, 6-Bays and the 22 to 25 foot water behind Sandy Point all the way to 6-Bays were giving up the quality fish that Crowley is famous for. Trick is to orient your lures within 4 feet of the bottom. Concentrate on the North end behind Sandy and above Alligator Point. Looking at the last 5 years of reports for this time the next 3 weeks can be the best fishing of the year. Best lures are the Tasmanians and Rapala floaters, have fun with it and try the trolling flies like Arctic Fox, Hornbergs and Matukas.
