10 pound bass landed at Santa Margarita

A 10.8 pound largemouth was caught last week caught-and-released by John Moreno of San Luis Obispo with a large swim bait. Bass came from 12 feet of water in the vicinity of the dam. Tim Ragatz of Paso Robles caught 10 and 5 pound channel cats fishing from shore with chicken livers near Vaca Flats. Bite has been tough, in general. Water temperature is 57 degrees. (805) 438-1522
