http://norcal.fishreports.comThe fishing at Silver Lake has been exceptional this past week if you like lunker size fish. If you like to catch the stockers, well, that side of fishing has not been as consistent lately. We have seen a large number of fish over 5 pounds this week and a crazy number of fish over 2 pounds. It didn’t seem to matter if you were fishing from the shore or from a boat, the lunkers where showing their heads this week. The bait of choice this week was Berkley Mice Tails in all colors. Worms also worked well this week taking them to the bottom and floating them back up off the bottom about 30″-36″. If you like trolling, Thomas Buoyant Gold/Red, Rapala’s in a Rainbow and Brown Trout Pattern, and Super Dupers saw some good results if you can get them a little deep. The weather has still been cold and stormy this past week but we didn’t get any snow which makes it stay a little warmer during the day, warm as in mid 40’s!Silver Lake (760) 648-7525
